Surah Manafiqun is the sixty-third surah and one of the civil surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in chapter 28. Surah Manafiqun talks about hypocrites and describes their behavior and attributes. This surah instructs the Prophet (PBUH) to be careful about the danger of hypocrites and advises believers to spend in the way of God and avoid hypocrisy. In Qommi's commentary, the eighth verse of this sura was revealed about Abdullah bin Ubayy, who wanted to expel the emigrants from Madinah. About the virtue of reciting this Surah, among other things, it has been narrated from the Prophet (PBUH) that whoever recites Surah Al-Munafiqun, will be cleansed of all hypocrisy.
