Abdul Basit Muhammad Abdul Samad Salim Davood (b. 2 - b. 6) is one of the great Qur'anic narrators in Egypt and of Kurdish descent who had a special ability to recite the Quran with sound. He is one of the four great Qurans in Egypt. He was also the first member of the Qarian Association in Egypt. He has many fans and imitators around the world.
