Surah Qamar is the fifty-fourth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Quran, which is located in chapter 27. This surah is called Qamar because it refers to the miracle of the crescent moon of the Prophet of Islam (pbuh). The verses of this surah are more related to warnings and threats, and mentions the previous peoples and their plight on the Day of Judgment when they come out of their graves and their presence for the reckoning of the Day of Judgment, in order to warn them. The tribes whose names are mentioned in this surah are the tribe of Ad, the tribe of Thamud, the tribe of Lot, and the tribe of Pharaoh. One of the famous verses of Surah Qamar is a verse that says that the Qur'an is easy to learn. This verse is repeated four times in this chapter. In the virtue of reciting Surah Qamar, including from the Prophet (PBUH), one who recites Surah Qamar every other day will enter the Day of Resurrection with his face shining like the moon at night.
