Surah Al-Mudathir is the seventy-fourth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in the 29th part of the Qur'an. Surah Mudassar was revealed to the Prophet (PBUH) at the beginning of his mission. The word Mudassar means "garment wrapped around itself" and refers to the Prophet (PBUH). In the opening verses of this sura, God orders the Prophet (pbuh) (who felt cold from the spiritual shock of the beginning of the revelation and was wrapped in his clothes) to get up and warn the people. According to many narrations, a part of this surah was revealed about Walid bin Mughira, who called the Prophet Sahir (magician). In this Surah, referring to the greatness and dignity of the Qur'an, God has threatened those who deny the Qur'an and call it magic. Verse 38 is one of the famous verses of this Surah, which holds every human being responsible for his actions. It is stated in the hadiths that anyone who recites this surah will be given ten good deeds for anyone who affirmed or denied the Prophet (PBUH) in Makkah. Or if he recites it in daily prayers, God will place him in the company of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and he will not see misery and suffering in this world.
