Surah Nazaat is the seventy-ninth surah and one of the Meccan surahs of the Qur'an, which is located in the thirtieth chapter. This surah is called "Nazat" because it begins with God's oath to Nazaat. Nazaat means angels who take lives. Surah Nazaat describes the Resurrection and its terrifying scenes and the fate of the righteous and the wicked on that day and refers to the story of Prophet Moses (pbuh) and the fate of Pharaoh. In the end, he emphasizes that no one knows the time of the Resurrection. In Surah Nazaat, it is also mentioned about the expansion of the earth.
